Anti-Aging

Peptides that support the signals your body produces less of with age: growth hormone, collagen, repair and recovery.

Aging isn’t one thing. It’s a slow decline in a lot of signals at once: growth hormone output drops, collagen production slows, sleep gets lighter, recovery from a hard week takes longer, and body composition drifts in a direction you didn’t ask for. Anti-aging peptide therapy works on those signals directly, using short amino-acid chains your body already recognizes.

Dr. Loera doesn’t prescribe a one-size “anti-aging stack.” She starts with what bothers you most, whether that’s skin, energy, sleep or muscle, often pairs it with lab work or a Biological Age Assessment, and builds a protocol from there using peptides such as GHK-Cu, sermorelin and CJC-1295/Ipamorelin.

How it helps

What anti-aging peptides can do

The goal isn’t to turn back a clock. It’s to restore signals that have faded so your body repairs, sleeps and recovers more like it used to.

Restore growth hormone rhythm

Sermorelin and CJC-1295/Ipamorelin prompt your pituitary to release its own growth hormone in natural pulses, rather than adding synthetic HGH.

Firmer, healthier skin

GHK-Cu stimulates collagen and elastin production and supports wound healing, which shows up as skin texture, tone and thickness.

Deeper sleep

Growth hormone peptides are taken at bedtime and typically deepen slow-wave sleep, the stage where most physical repair happens.

Lean mass and less fat

Improved growth hormone signaling supports muscle maintenance and fat metabolism, especially combined with resistance training.

Energy and recovery

Better sleep plus better repair usually means you bounce back faster from workouts, travel and long weeks.

Cellular longevity support

Peptides such as epitalon and the mitochondrial peptides target aging at the cellular level.

Peptides vs. hormone replacement

This is the question we hear most. Hormone replacement therapy supplies the hormone itself. Growth hormone peptides instead ask your pituitary to make more of your own, in the same pulses it always has. That keeps feedback loops intact and makes over-treatment far less likely. For some people the right answer is peptides; for others it’s bioidentical hormone replacement; and for many it’s a thoughtful combination. Labs tell us where to start.

A typical anti-aging protocol

A common starting plan pairs a bedtime growth hormone peptide (sermorelin or CJC-1295/Ipamorelin, five nights a week) with GHK-Cu for skin and tissue repair. Protocols run about three to six months before we reassess with labs and a conversation about what changed. Some people cycle off and on; others settle into a lower maintenance dose. Everything is adjusted to how you feel and what your bloodwork shows, not a fixed calendar.

Pairs well with

Candidates

Is anti-aging peptide therapy right for me?

Often a good fit

  • Adults in their 40s and beyond noticing slower recovery, lighter sleep or changing body composition
  • Skin that’s lost firmness, or slow-healing skin
  • People who want to support growth hormone naturally rather than replace it
  • Anyone already investing in training and nutrition who wants the biology to keep up
  • Comfortable with a small nightly self-injection

Let’s talk first

  • Active cancer or cancer treatment in the last five years
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Uncontrolled diabetes (growth hormone peptides can affect blood sugar)
  • Untreated sleep apnea or significant fluid retention
  • Competing athletes subject to anti-doping rules

The process

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Consultation and labs

We review your goals, symptoms and history, and order baseline bloodwork where it will change the plan.

  2. Step 2

    Your protocol

Dr. Loera selects the peptide or combination, dose and schedule, and explains what to expect week by week.

  3. Step 3

    First dose and teaching

We show you the injection technique in the office; it takes about a minute at home afterward.

  4. Step 4

Three to six months at home

Prescriptions ship from a licensed compounding pharmacy. Most growth hormone peptides are taken at bedtime, five nights a week.

  5. Step 5

    Reassess

Follow-up labs and a check-in on sleep, energy, skin and body composition guide whether to continue, adjust or pause.

Good to know

Anti-aging peptide questions, answered

What is the best peptide for anti-aging?

There isn’t one. GHK-Cu is the go-to for skin and tissue repair, sermorelin or CJC-1295/Ipamorelin for growth hormone support, sleep and body composition, and epitalon or mitochondrial peptides for cellular longevity. Most plans combine two based on what you want to change first.

Are anti-aging peptides safe?

Under physician supervision with appropriate labs, the peptides we use have a long track record and mild side-effect profiles. The main risks are water retention, tingling and blood sugar changes with growth hormone peptides, and injection-site irritation. We screen for conditions that make them inappropriate.

Are peptides the same as HGH?

No. Synthetic HGH is the hormone itself. Peptides like sermorelin and CJC-1295/Ipamorelin stimulate your pituitary to release its own growth hormone in natural pulses, which preserves your body’s feedback loops and makes over-treatment far less likely.

How long before I see results?

Sleep quality often improves within the first couple of weeks. Energy and recovery follow over a month or two. Skin changes and body composition shifts take three to six months of consistent use.

Do I need bloodwork?

For growth hormone peptides, yes: we check markers such as IGF-1, blood sugar and hormone levels at baseline and during treatment. It’s how we know the protocol is working and still safe.

Are anti-aging peptides FDA approved?

Most are not FDA-approved for anti-aging and are prescribed off-label through compounding pharmacies. Availability changes as regulations evolve, and Dr. Loera will tell you what can currently be prescribed.

Can I combine peptides with hormone replacement?

Yes, and it’s common. Peptides and bioidentical hormones address different signals. We design the combination and monitor labs so nothing is overdone.

Do the results last if I stop?

Benefits that depend on an active signal, such as deeper sleep from a growth hormone peptide, fade gradually after you stop. Structural gains, like collagen built up in skin or muscle added through training, persist longer. Many people cycle: a few months on, a break, then back on.

What does anti-aging peptide therapy cost?

It depends on which peptides, the dose and the length of the protocol. Peptide therapy is self-pay and not covered by insurance. You’ll get a clear quote at your consultation, and our price list is always available.
